VARA enables high-speed, reliable data transmission over both HF and VHF/UHF, making it ideal for email over radio (Winlink), file transfers, emergency communications, and keyboard-to-keyboard messaging—even in challenging band conditions.

This session will walk you through setup, configuration, and real-world use, with live demonstrations and guided practice so you can get on the air with confidence.

What to bring:

A laptop (Windows preferred, as VARA is Windows-based)

Your amateur radio (HF and/or VHF/UHF depending on interest)

Radio interface (such as Signalink, DigiRig, or equivalent)
